11 SEO blogs you probably missed

Here are some mostly new SEO Blogs you may not be aware of that are worth reading.
- Kichus - Kichus the “SEO Kid” uncovers changes and announcements in the search engines and provides useful analysis of what it means. The “Kid” has uncovered some pretty interesting stuff already. For example, check out his post on visitor segmentation in Google Analytics.
- Just Search - Although this site has been around for a while Technorati claims it doesn’t have a lot of authority. I found it to be comprehensive around all things search with current news items and the problems facing SEOs. Just Search is a company blog and has multiple posters that cover everything from black hat to web analytics.
- Content Done Better Blog - A bit wordy but some sage-like advice about writing better content. One of my favorite posts is 50 Ways to Screw Up Content.
- Half’s SEO Notebook - Halfdeck writes “PageRank doesn’t matter” is now an official SEO myth along with other breaking news and personal notes about SEO and related issues like social bookmarking. I suggest reading the about and contact pages because they are actually important to understand the context of the site and pretty damn entertaining.
- Deep Jive Interests - Not really about SEO but about a lot of stuff SEOs tend to be interested in “like blogging, wordpress, web2.0, and web design” and also social sites like MySpace and Digg. Very interesting, non-standard reading.
- Mike Bogo Web Design for Growth and Quality - Mike covers news about useful tools like directory submiters and current happenings you may have missed like eBay nuking GBuy.
- SEO Blogger - Desirea talks about new trends in SEO like Aaron Wall’s bad advice and asks great questions like does page strength matter? This is a pretty new blog but definitely one to watch.
- Austin SEO Guy - An insightful blog by Robert Hardaway aka “The Guy” who has set out to educate Austin, Texas companies the many aspects of search engine optimization. In fact he didn’t just stop with the blog - he set up a whole SEO learning center!
- SootleDir SEO and Internet Marketing Blog - Darren McLaughlin offers some great advice and brings his personal experience with SEO and online promotion. I have to say I am not a fan of the layout but the content is fantastic. Darren seems to very knowledgeable about Google Crawl Rates and the business side of SEO like what to tell clients when they want high rankings right now.
- SEO Blog UK - So far, Lisa Ditlefsen has just talked about SEO basics like the importance of the meta description tag but I’ve seen her around the forums and some other blogs and her knowledge far exceeds what she’s posted on her own site. Keep an eye on this one…
- Sorvoja - Not a typical SEO Blog, Sorvoja covers recent news and makes bold statements and even drops some great tips!

Why gripe about being called “wordy” when you make a slot on the list, right?
Thanks for a nod in the direction of the Content Done Better Blog.
