Time Magazine’s Person of the Year is YOU!

Randall McCarley

by Randall McCarley
December 16th, 2006

In homage to online collaboration clobbering the giants, Time Magazine has named the 2006 Person of the Year as anyone who generates or reads content online. All I can say about this is thanks for being you and making this happen by reading my little spec of the internet. My favorite part:

It’s a story about community and collaboration on a scale never seen before. It’s about the cosmic compendium of knowledge Wikipedia and the million-channel people’s network YouTube and the online metropolis MySpace. It’s about the many wresting power from the few and helping one another for nothing and how that will not only change the world, but also change the way the world changes.

The print version comes out Monday, but you can read the full article (online) here. Thanks to John Rothra for bringing this to my attention.

You’re very welcome. When I ran across the article on Fox News about it, I was quite surprised. Congrats to all who made this possible. They like us… they really like us. :)
